The Marcus Institute of Integrative Health at Jefferson is excited to host delegates from KLE University, Karnataka, India, as part of an ongoing research and education collaborative between Thomas Jefferson University and KLE University. During their visit, KLEU delegates, Dr. Buduru S. Prasad and Dr. Naveen Kalkuni Visweswaraiah, will shadow Marcus Institute’s physicians and attend the Marcus Institute’s CME event on November 9, “Cutting-Edge Advances in Brain Health.”
“We’re honored that KLEU is looking to the Marcus Institute as a leader in integrative medicine,” said Daniel Monti, MD, Institute Director. “By sharing our research with Dr. Prasad and Dr. Visweswaraiah, we hope to give KLEU successful models for integrating evidence-based therapies with conventional medicine.”
The visit is facilitated by Dr. Richard Derman, MD, MPH, Associate Provost, Global Affairs and Director, Global Health Research, Thomas Jefferson University, who has played an integral role in the research collaborations between TJU and KLEU. This work will build upon a 20 year NIH-funded relationship that has existed between Dr. Derman and KLE University.
