Madeleine Becker, MD, MA, FACLP
Madeleine Becker, M.D., MA, FACLP is Associate Professor in the Department of Integrative Medicine and Nutritional Sciences and in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Thomas Jefferson University. She serves as the Director of Graduate Medical Education, and the Assistant Director for the Fellowship in Integrative Medicine in the Department of Integrative Medicine. Dr. Becker’s areas of clinical expertise include women’s mental health, mind-body medicine and the interface of medical illness, stress, and manifestations of psychiatric symptoms in medically ill patients. She provides mental health care to patients with medical illness using both traditional and complementary approaches, including lifestyle therapies to reduce stress and improve health outcomes.
Dr. Becker has obtained an MA in Psychology from New York University and an MA in Clinical Health Psychology from Yeshiva University. She received her MD from Jefferson Medical College and completed her residency in Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. She is board certified in Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine/Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
